Job Title: Certified Audiology Technician with VA Disability Testing Familiarity
Location: Atlanta Georgia
Job Type: Part-time, 4 hours per week
Salary: $25-35 per hour, DOE (Depending on Experience)
Job Summary: We are seeking a Certified Audiology Technician with specialized familiarity in VA disability testing to join our team on a part-time basis. This position involves supporting audiologists in administering and conducting assessments for veterans, ensuring accurate and efficient testing procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audiological equipment, VA protocols, and a commitment to providing exceptional care to our veteran community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist audiologists in conducting VA disability testing under the guidance of established protocols.
- Perform various audiological assessments, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry.
- Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Document test results accurately and prepare reports for audiologists’ review.
- Communicate effectively with veterans during testing procedures, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Collaborate with audiologists and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Audiology Technician or equivalent credential.
- Demonstrated experience with VA disability testing protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting audiological equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor and sensitivity to the needs of veterans.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working within VA healthcare systems or similar government healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of assistive listening devices and hearing aid technology.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Working Conditions:
